Karavomylos is 2 km away from Sami. At the end of the village, among dense clump of trees and bushes, there is a small circle lake that from where sweet water wells up and flows out to the sea.
The area is generally known for many strange geological phenomena, like Drogarati’s cave with the rare stalactites and stalagmites.
The interior of the cave is formed in such a way so that it can have several uses without disturbing its nature. The acoustics of the cave can be fairly compared to the acoustics of the ancient theatres and part of the area has been used as a concert hall.
Melissani’s lake is unique and impressive. It has the amazing ability to change colors from time to time and generally offers an amazing spectacle.
